This story adds details the Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, Volume 1, in which Weed goes to the Lair of Litvartwith the regiment led by Midvale. Yes, I understand it's a really obscure and forgettable moment. It's really short, so please read it before judging it. It's probably best read in conjunction with chapters 6 and 7 of the first volume, since there's a lot of overlap. If you've read this far, then thank you for giving this obscure little thing a chance. TL;DR It's a short story to add details to LMS Vol.1.

Cosmic deities? Ha! They're far more than that. They are our universe and its masters, and the masters of all other worlds, their flesh being the space between. They are the creators, the destroyers, preservers. Alpha and Omega. Their immortal servants are mistaken for demons and angels on the world of plain and stupid mortals, and although we may call ourselves their descendants, our divine blood has been so diluted and our eyes have grown so rotten that we can no longer see them without going mad upon a mere glance at the outline of their shadows. No, instead we delude ourselves, thinking we can hurt them by battling with their ageless, yet barely killable abominations of children, just like the old Mad King, and just like me. Baron Arthur Grey of Oxfordshire. A fool and a coward, who's fear of losing his own world, led him to lose a free one.

A mixture of light and dark. A mixture of solemn and laugh out loud. A mixture of sci-fi and fantasy. There's something in here for everyone, but each story has something in common. They all begin in the real world - but each story has it's own distinct twist. Have you ever experienced the corrupted underground scene of high school conkers? Gambling, dirty dealings, blackmail? Ever met the girl of your dreams but wondered whether she's a vampire? Have you ever met a dragon... made of cake? If no is the answer to any of these questions, you ought to know what you are missing. Matty Millard's collection of short stories is not one to be missed. Featuring the prize winning short story "Weapons of Mass Destruction", placed first in the GKBC Inc 2013/14 competition by crime novelist Tim Weaver. I've taken the majority of the chapter down now as this is due to be published very soon, but Weapons of Mass Destruction is still there to be read. I will link to the published book soon!

Anxious and apathetic, the godling Aquari locks himself away in a vault where he stays for an untold number of years, held captive by nothing but his own mind. Then, bit by bit, things happen to make Aquari break out of his self-made purgatory and learn about happiness and pain. This is an introspective story about depression and change with a Greek mythological-like setting including gods and marble temples. A short story that means a lot to me. Nothing graphic but includes themes of depression, family rejection and anxiety.
