I am offering 37 chapters of Tearmoon goodness plus Anne gets her own epilogue (and for the less discerning readers, I've added a Tearmoon fanart chapter at the end)! After much convincing, Abel has agreed to bring Mia for a formal visit to his home in Remno. He tries to explain to her that his apprehension is due to something much darker than a teenager's embarrassment over his parents. When they finally arrive, even Abel is not prepared for the Remno that his father has prepared for the Princess. Expect to find a bit of Tearmoon sweetness and humor, mixed in with some darker elements (much like the original story). I have attempted to explore the darker elements with a light touch without downplaying the seriousness of the issues being explored (hence, the disturbing content' warning).. Mia, Abel, Anne, the Emperor, and Ludwig are the usual suspects present in this story. A serious effort has been made to stay true to the personalities of the main characters and the general tone of the series but I have given myself free rein to have fun with characters that were undeveloped through the first 9 volumes of the series or create new characters that were needed to make this story work. Through the 9 original volumes, this story had no great conflicts with Tearmoon Empire continuity, but that has begun to change with volume 10 of the official series. I think that this is a very fun story that any Tearmoon fan can enjoy. (Yes, have posted this elsewhere. But I would like to share with as many fans as possible, so I am posting to new places. Also, I love inputespecially lavish praise!)

Korsha's a mage. Born with the blessing of the Third Daughter. A hundred and fifty years ago she'd be harbored as saint in the making. Unfortunately, the Third Daughter goes by a more infamous name now: The Betrayer. Now Korsha lives in service to the Imperial Goddess, acting as one of her many Imperial Binders. As a binder she uses her talents to bind spirits in order to, as her master puts it, give them purpose. Yet she's made many mistakes, failed her master numerous times. Above all else, there is one choice, one moment of disobedience that haunts her to this day. It lingers like an embedded knife of guilt whose wounds have long sense healed over. But after someone nearly kills her master and frames her for it, Korsha is forced to travel back to the very place where she failed most. There she will face the incarnation of her guilt. Now caught between the desires of her master and her spirit guardian, Korsha will have to unravel the threads of conspiracy that now surround her. Lest she become bound in them. Anna Lawrence is a quiet girl who'd rather sit and write poetry than bustle about with her peers. After an incident resulting in a panic attack and a trip to the hospital, Anna's foster mother sends her to stay with her aunt and uncle for the summer. Upon arriving in the small mountain town of Glenwood, Anna finds herself caught in the machinations of another world on the other side of the fog: warring witches, animal-headed skypirates, and the boldest, bravest, most interesting girl Anna has ever met. THROUGH MIST, VEIL, AND SUMMER is my homage to Studio Ghibli films. It's a fantasy romance with a dash of adventure and a sprinkling of self-contemplation. It's a story that moves a little slower, a little quieter. It is my fourth novel, written between October 1, 2017 and January 6, 2019.

The mind is a fragile thing. One slip and the shattered pieces are so innumerable that reconstruction is impossible. One such Theodore Chatwood is unfortunately very familiar with that sentiment. From a young age, frequent visions of horrid, incomprehensible beings plagued his mind, and it only became worse with time. They speak in colors, whispering in ageless language... They wait in corners, watching intently. The world harbors much more than meets the blind eye. Do not fret, though. Simply take the syringe. Hold your breath. Close your eyes. It will all be finished soon... Cover by: Tentacles and Teeth

In the city of Kholakel, the highlight of the year for the upper classes is the annual monster pacification of the misty woods. Ostensibly it's a culling of the monster population to prevent them encroaching on urban areas, but it's an open secret that it's actually treated as more of a blood sport, the participants competing to score the most kills. After all, why else would the politicians and elites of the city bother to attend personally? Given the intense competition and high-tech weapons and gear in use, one might wonder how the forest has not yet been completely depopulated. As this year's culling approaches, a group of unfortunate children are about to discover the answer first-hand, but thanks to an unexpected twist of fate, one of them will score the chance to play the role of the hunter instead of the prey. This was an attempt at writing something darker than my usual fare. The story I actually ended up with isn't as mean to the MC as I'd originally planned out, to the point that I'm not sure the story deserves the horror/grimdark tags anymore, but this is still an unfair world with unambiguously evil antagonists. Chapters are short to start with, but get longer once the first act is over. Published here and Scribble Hub.
