Leaving Home
Here, the road diverges,
Your fate divides you,
And you must leave all you`ve known,
Here the path pushes you forward,
On your own,
Without love and without care,
In a way, you sort of wanted it this way,
You just don`t like that it`s so bitter,This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author`s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
To be removed from your home;
The feelings involved, and the feelings that must be numbed,
For betrayal is a turbulent chemical,
Do not look it in the eye,
Don`t ask it why,
Don`t attempt to compromise,
Its purpose is clear,
To clean this life of you,
To wash its hands of your existence,
So you must go,
Bubbling with emotions,
It would comfort your soul for you to succeed,
Even without all this,
But even that is up in the air,
Whether you`ll sleep over a pillow,
Whether you`ll have another meal today,
Is still a question,
The world is cold when you`re by yourself,
Can you keep the gentleness you`ve held close all this while,
Or will you be molded,
Into the cold and the mundane,
Into the biting selfishness inherent in man,
Will you be better than the warmth that was previously given to you?
Its still up in the air whether you will sleep peacefully.
