It's Always Liminal
Layered in our reality,
In between various realities,
An intersection,
Here dreams are free to roam,
Magic has substance,
Imagination is a freedom,
Here, curiosity killed the cat,
I`ve been free of it for a moment,
When the idea of it was announced to me,This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
And I thought,
I was just there,
I`ve spent several nights there,
And also,
You can never really leave,
Deny it if you must,
Free yourself from its power,
But one day,
You may see,
Even in your science,
It intermingles,
For all your faith,
In what you believe is real,
For the science you place on a pedestal,
Murphy`s law still exists,
For the spirits,
Lingering in between the lines,
Recognize your fear,
And in the distance,
They see why you fear it,
Huddled out of sight,
They question whether its worth it,
To acknowledge this fear,
They consider their own mood,
Are they feeling playful?
For all your faith,
In what you believe is real,
The unknown always lingers there,
Waiting at the edge of your consciousness,
And your actions,
Do you see them as meaningless?
Or as a matter of course?
So of little importance,
That candle you lit,
But at every step,
These actions,
Either save you,
Or doom you.
