Chapter 63: The Sad Tale of the Wu Uncle and Nephew Pt. 4

Sounds of mourning ran through the gathered warriors only to be overshadowed by W Qi醤g Ji as he raised his head to the sky and roar in anguish, torment, and grief. He grabbed his nephew and held him in arms. His nephew`s dying words were, "Sorry, uncle. I vow in my next life I will live as my uncle. A righteously brave warrior who is steadfast and devoutly loyal." W Y+ Di蝞 words echoed in the mournful silence.

Holding his dying nephew, W Qi醤g Ji looked at his dying nephew. He had painfully forced a smile on his face. Tears ran uncontrollably down W Qi醤g Ji`s smiling face as he said, "Good, it`s a deal then. I will hold you to your words." Seeing the smile on his uncle`s face. For the last time, W Y+ Di蝞 closed his eyes. Many of the warriors surrounding W Qi醤g Ji rested a hand on W Qi醤g Ji shoulders and back in support.

W Qi醤g Ji grabbed the butterfly sword that pierced his nephew`s body and yanked it free. However, not one warrior expected W Qi醤g Ji to take the same sword that W Y+ Di蝞 just used to run himself through with, and used it on himself. A big loud, long mournful scream of thousands of voices tore through the air around W Qi醤g Ji as he ran himself through with the same sword his nephew just used. He caught the warriors around him completely off guard. No one expected him to do that, so no one was able to stop him in time.

A weird silence filled the air following the long mournful scream. Several warriors fell to their knees beside W Qi醤g Ji. The warrior that fell to his knees behind W Qi醤g Ji caught him and held the dying W Qi醤g Ji in his arms. A questioning voice broke the silence asking the dying W Qi醤g Ji tearfully, "Why Qi醤g Ji? Why did you do this? You`ve done nothing wrong! Why would you do this?"

A dying W Qi醤g Ji struggled through his death throes to answer his fellow brothers and comrades. The Warrior that held him clasped W Qi醤g Ji`s hand that fell from the sword that pierced his body. W Qi醤g Ji`s other hand was griping his dead nephew tightly.

"I did something wrong, I don`t know what it is, but the must be something I did wrong." W Qi醤g Ji gasped through the pains of death.

"There is none among us as faithful as you! Never had I met a more loyal, brave, or courageous warrior like you! You`ve done nothing wrong!" The warrior screamed his reply in devastation as tears dripping down his face.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"Y+ Di蝞 lost faith and trust in me. He didn`t come to me. There is something somewhere that I did wrong for Y+ Di蝞 to lose faith in me. I just don`t know what it is." W Qi醤g Ji struggled to answer in the silence that followed his words as he coughed up blood.

"You know how much I love my nephew. I can`t bear to send him alone. If I send him alone, it would worry me too much, so I wish to accompany him. Plus, we have a deal. I must hold him to his words in the next life." W Qi醤g Ji gasped out as blood leaked from his mouth and tears from his eyes.

"Brothers, thank you for accompanying me in this life. You all helped me get through the toughest of time and help me raise my rascal of a nephew. Keep the lights of the Leandore Garrison burning."

"We won`t let the light go out." As one, the warriors around him roared the Garrison motto. Many of the warriors couldn`t control the immense hurt and devastation at what they considered and felt was an unnecessary loss. Hearing their reply W Qi醤g Ji closed his eyes and died.

The warrior that clasped W Qi醤g Ji`s hand was W Qi醤g Ji`s best friend. He lifted his head to the sky and roared his fury and devastation before saying wrathfully. "That dog of a commander is lucky he`s already dead. If he were alive, I would grant him the most painful death known to man. Because of that cowardly traitor, the Tolling Lands lost one of the most loyal courageous men I know.

The death of the Leandore Garrison Warrior who loved his nephew more than his life touched the hearts of even the Dark Blood Warriors, the emotionless Sh Q Warriors, the G騯 Archers, Wang F鑞 Y襫g and The Emperor.

The Emperor turned to a Shadow Dragoon Deputy Commander, who stood beside him and said, "I want you to stay behind and do a complete investigation on the W uncle and nephew. When you return to the Imperial City, I expect a full complete report." After this, The Emperor faded from the surrounding warriors.

The Emperor felt satisfied with the Garrison Warriors of Leandore. The Emperor saw no need to intervene or do anymore. He left the clean up to Wang F鑞 Y襫g and quietly made is way out of the garrison. Gathering the Warriors he bought with him who waited outside of the Garrison for him. The Emperor left as quietly as he arrived.

The Emperor had one more stop he wanted to make before quickly making his way back to the Imperial City. Although he left his Imperial Grandfather with instructions to open the imperial granaries. The Emperor was aware that the provision of the imperial granaries would last no more than three weeks. The Emperor was also aware that to have the Imperial City of the Tolling Land sealed for too long would bring more harm than good.
