Chapter 61:The Sad Tale of the Wu Uncle and Nephew Pt. 2
W Qi醤g Ji`s nephew`s face no longer showed tormented grief. However, W Y+ Di蝞 couldn`t completely hide his sorrow and regret. As W Y+ Di蝞 looked at his strong, powerful uncle crying, he felt as if his heart would rip in two. He knew he was wrong, so wrong. He felt intense remorse that he dragged his strong, brave uncle to this end. W Y+ Di蝞 and his guilty friend Li F閚g G鑞 stood next to each other. They were the last two warriors to be questioned. All the warriors had figured out that something was wrong with the nephew of the hero they greatly admired.
A strange silence blanket the area where the Warriors assembled as a Truth Teller walked over to the last two young boys to be questioned. The Truth-Teller stopped in front of W Y+ Di蝞`s friend Li F閚g G鑞 and began to question him. Tears ran down Li F閚g G鑞 face as he answered each question. He was quickly found guilty of being an accomplice. However, in this strange silence, not one warrior rush forward to beat him to death.
Every warrior of the Garrison knew that W Y+ Di蝞 was a quiet young man who didn`t talk much and never made friends easily. W Y+ Di蝞 and Li F閚g G鑞 were like glue, where you find one you often found another. So if Li F閚g G鑞 was guilty. Chances are W Y+ Di蝞 was guilty as well. They all knew just how much their hero W Qi醤g Ji loved his nephew. He even refused to marry because he didn`t want his nephew to be mistreated in any way at all. Not only that, but most of these warriors help to raise W Y+ Di蝞.
Li F閚g G鑞 turned to W Y+ Di蝞 with tears streaming down his face he bowed to his quiet friend, "I`m sorry I dragged you down W Y+ Di蝞 I should have listened to you. I`m sorry I didn`t listen, don`t forgive me. I promise I will repay this debt in my next life." Unsheathing his sword Li F閚g G鑞 ran himself through with his sword. Not once did W Y+ Di蝞 look at his apologizing friend as his body collapsed to the ground. W Y+ Di蝞`s eyes remained locked with his uncle. The sorrow, regret, and devastation on W Y+ Di蝞`s face were plain to all to see as tears poured down his face.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.
The Truth-Teller turned away from the crumpled body of Li F閚g G鑞. Turning to the last person to be questioned, the Truth-Teller stepped towards W Y+ Di蝞 to question him. Finally breaking eye contact with his uncle W Y+ Di蝞 look towards the Truth Teller and said in a soft firm voice with tears pouring down his face, "There is no need to question me. Of knowing of a person`s treasonous actions and not immediately reporting it, I am guilty." A shudder ran through W Y+ Di蝞 uncle`s body upon hearing his nephew confirm his suspicions.
Heavy sorrow, devastation, and anguish reign over the warriors that gathered around W Y+ Di蝞. They all knew the reason W Y+ Di蝞 didn`t report the treasonous person. It was because that person was Li F閚g G鑞. Li F閚g G鑞 was W Y+ Di蝞`s best friend and his only friend. W Y+ Di蝞 grew up in the garrison, and most of these warriors helped W Qi醤g Ji to raise him. The quiet W Y+ Di蝞 was like the Garrison`s mascot.
As his uncle began to make his way toward him, W Y+ Di蝞 looked at the warriors that surrounded him and kowtowed deeply and ceremonious, "I apologize to my comrades and uncles for disappointing everyone. Many of you help raise me and taught me how a true warrior was supposed to behave. I was not taught to shield a traitor, and yet I fell short of your teachings. This was my fault and my error. I am sorry." W Y+ Di蝞 said, kowtowing his head thunking hard on the floor.
W Qi醤g Ji finally made his way to his nephew. W Qi醤g Ji fell to his knees in front of his kowtowing nephew. W Qi醤g Ji faced his nephew as W Y+ Di蝞 rose from the kowtow he just made. W Qi醤g Ji looked W Y+ Di蝞 in the eyes and asked, "Y+ Di蝞 why didn`t you come to me? Had you come to me, I could have helped. Why didn`t you come to me?" Tears pour down from the eyes of both the uncle and the nephew as they knelt face to face. Many of the warriors` eyes grew wet to see such an unfortunate, heartbreaking scene.
