Ending Announcement + Poll
The Type Specialist will be ending soon.
Kind of.
Eventually.
You don`t need to worry—Alola is still set to be finished. We`re not even halfway through the region, giving us at least a few months to go. However, while I`ve always intended to have four full regions: Hoenn, Sinnoh, Alola, and one other, I`ve decided to have the main story conclude when Alola concludes.
Now, while The Type Specialist will soon come to a close, I won`t be done writing Pok閙on. I`ve struggled for a long time to get another story going thanks to having too many ideas for stories bouncing around in my head. To settle on one, I`d like to ask you all for help!
Underneath this wall of text, there`s a poll for you to vote on your favorite Type. From Water to Grass to Normal to Ghost, any possibility is open, even the pair of non-specialist options: the esoteric "Fossil" and the dreaded "Generalist."If you come across this story on Amazon, it`s taken without permission from the author. Report it.
I`m asking for your help now because I want time to be able to build up a backlog. I want to release the next fiction with a small, initial dump and continue with daily chapters after that. However, even though I`ve spent months trying to figure this out, I genuinely can`t settle on only one idea, which is why I`m including this poll now. Please think about what kind of story you`d like to read, keeping the following details in mind:
The story will likely have a slightly more competitive lean
The setting will likely be a mix of Kanto and Johto
The period will likely be set early in the timeline, before knowledge of cross-region evolutions are spread too far
The main character will likely have meta-knowledge in one form or another
I`ve enjoyed writing The Type Specialist, and I still have trouble believing just how many people have joined Alex on this expansive journey. I want to thank you all for your continued support, and I have to say, I`m really looking forward to starting a new fiction with you all!
Signing out,
Incarnated Whisp.
P.S. I may or may not include a set of epilogue chapters down the line after the Type Specialist ends to make up for the loss of that fourth region. I`m still considering this idea, and it depends on how I feel after the next fiction comes out.
