You head for the bridge, already calling ahead.

"Simo. what`s the strength of our visitors?"

"Two Sword-class frigates and three Cobra-class destroyers. More than enough to give us a headache in our current state."

  "Mu`randa, have they signaled us?"

"They have signaled the Aegis, but not us."

"Alright. Then we just sit here, all inoffensive like, and wait for Zheeves to handle the negotiations." You stride onto the bridge and drop into the captain`s chair. "He`s done right by us in the past, no reason why he would screw us over this time."The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

You stand the crew down from battle stations, and leave Mu`randa on the bridge, with orders to inform you if anything comes up.

Jace reports in on his progress. The Stormbird should be flight-capable, at least enough to bring aboard the Terra Incarnadine, within a day or two. He has also uncovered a number of Archoeotech artifacts, some of which may prove useful, though he will need time to determine all of their properties before clearing them for use.

Several hours later, Zheeves messages you with the current results of his talks with the Navy Patrol. The commander of the patrol was surprised by the presence of the Terra Incarnadine, given that she isn`t a standard Imperial design, and was broadcasting a Rogue Trader House IFF. However, Zheeves was able to mollify him, and it turns out he may have some useful connections. He may be able to put in a good word with the Imperial Navy Procurement Office, but wants the Scutum, the salvageable Dauntless Light Cruiser, earmarked for the Imperial Navy as payment for his services.
