  Smoking

  I don`t know who I am anymore,

  My role,

  I forgot,

  There`s no preconception,

When I walk into a scenario,

  Just a dude,

Who fits in where he can,If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it`s taken without the author`s consent. Report it.

  Often just the butt end,

  Of a boring joke,

There used to be glory in the air,

But now, tedium and the soul-draining every day,

  I tried to escape,

  I really did,

To a land of fairy tales,

  But goddamn,

  Earth, you still exist.

  Interlude

  The phase, it has passed,

  Simply waiting now,

Where did it land? I wonder,

  Wait, no time to wonder,

  I smell something,

  In the distance,

  Frustration is building,

  I sigh, of course,

  I often think I`m done,

When my hand has been played,

  I often think I`m done,

  When I`m ready to settle,

But the next phase is there,

  Waiting around the corner,

  I wonder, will I,

Finally, my throat dry and parched,

Finally, my weary soul no longer willing to continue,

  Finally, will I fall,

  Trip and fall into hell,

  Finally, will I die,

  Finally, can I rest?

The next phase, peaking out of the corner,

  Winks at me,

I sigh, let the games begin.
